L.E.B.A.N.O.N. Study

The Lebanese Evaluation of the Burden of Ailments and Needs Of the Nation (L.E.B.A.N.O.N.) study was the first national survey in the region to examine mental health disorders and chronic illnesses. Conducted as part of the World Mental Health Surveys—a global initiative by the World Health Organization and Harvard University—this study provided essential data on mental health in Lebanon. IDRAAC led Lebanon’s participation and continues to serve as a regional Training and Resource Center for the Arabic version of the Composite International Diagnostic Interview (CIDI).
