Mental Health in the Workplace

About the Project:
The Mental Health in the Workplace project aims to promote mental well-being and resilience among employees in both the public and private sectors. Initiated by the National Mental Health Programme and the World Health Organization (WHO), the project focuses on empowering HR, management, and employee relations professionals to become advocates for mental health within their organizations.

IDRAAC, in collaboration with the National Mental Health Programme and in coordination with the International Rescue Committee, implemented this initiative with financing from the Lebanon Financing Facility administered by the World Bank.

Project Objectives:
This Training of Trainers (ToT) program sought to:

  1. Foster a better understanding of innovative and evidence-based approaches to enhancing employee wellness in the workplace.
  2. Develop Mental Health Champions who advocate for mental health, train others, and create sustainable change within their organizations.

Where It Was Implemented:
This program was implemented across Lebanon, engaging professionals from diverse industries and sectors to create widespread awareness and action on workplace mental health.

Impact in Numbers:

  • 331 professionals trained as Mental Health Champions.
  • 267 unique businesses participated in the program, spanning the public and private sectors.
